How do we collect your data?

Other data is collected automatically or with your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. This is mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.
What do we use your data for?
Part of the data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior.

You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given your consent to data processing, you can revoke this consent at any time for the future. 4. Hosting
This website is hosted on servers of the MSRV infrastructure of CMS ADMINS in a data center in Germany. The personal data collected on this website is stored on these servers. This may include IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website accesses and other data generated via a website.
Hosting is carried out for the purpose of fulfilling contracts with our potential and existing customers (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offer by a professional provider (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).
5. About the PagePin Plugin
PagePin is a WordPress plugin that stores all feedback data locally on your WordPress installation. The plugin does not send any data to external servers by default. All screenshots, markers, and comments are stored in your WordPress database and in /wp-content/uploads/pagepin/.
Exceptions: If you enable the optional CAPTCHA feature, the plugin makes requests to the servers of the CAPTCHA provider. If you add a webhook endpoint, the plugin sends event data to the HTTPS address you entered; e-mail addresses are included only if you allow it for that endpoint.
6. Feedback on This Website
PagePin runs on this website too. With the button at the bottom left you can send us feedback on a page. We only receive data when you send the feedback:
- a screenshot of the visible part of the page with your markers and notes
- your message, if you write one
- your email address
- the address of the page and the time
- browser name with major version, operating system, window size and pixel density
We use the email address only for questions about your feedback. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR), which you give with the checkbox in the send dialog. You can withdraw it at any time with an email to service@pagepin.io; we then delete your feedback.
The feedback is stored in the WordPress database and in the upload folder of this website on our servers in Germany (see Hosting), and we receive a notification email at service@pagepin.io. No data goes to third parties. To prevent spam, your IP address is kept for at most one hour as a keyed hash; it is not stored with the feedback. We delete the feedback, its screenshot and the notification email after 10 days at the latest.
In the local storage of your browser PagePin only notes whether you closed the quick start or hid the button for 24 hours. Nothing is stored when you just visit a page.
7. Demo in WordPress Playground
The demo on this website is a link to playground.wordpress.net, a service of the WordPress project. You leave this website only when you select the link; this website collects no data for the demo.
8. Cookies
This website sets no cookies for visitors.
9. Contact
If you contact us by email, your request including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested.
10. SSL/TLS Encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.
